I need a new flapper. Mine is missing 1 of the tiddies, and a second one is almost gone. Only the 3rd tiddie is intact. The flapper has also shrunk a bit, and does not seal very well. Anybody know the proper name, part#, or availability? I searched a little, but found nothing but people mentioning it in their posts. My flapper has no GM 8 digit part# on it.
They're essentially the same part. Any 78-88 A-body or G-body flap should work. Which, oddly, is the ONLY p/n that interchanges. You've got that black car sitting around with nothing to do at the moment...

HaHa ! That ain't happenin... It looks like it may have superseded again by 3035981
I have another AC box i will get out and check the condition of the trap door, to see if it's in better condition. I was hoping for a $8.99 new one. Doesn't look like is going to happen either.

3035981 is the p/n listing for B, C, and D bodies. I do NOT know what is different between them and the A/G-bodies. But they are different somehow. Only way to know is yank a j/y one and see I suppose.

I saw it here, ( 9.211 - cover drain ) and since it was out to the side, I assumed it was a superseded part#. There must be info missing from the top of the page. IDK.. I'm hoping my other AC box has one in better shape. I just have to get it out and check. I don't believe these are available any longer, so I'm hoping for the best. If not, I will make one. I look into more when I get home from work tonight.
Look on the previous page to show which column goes with each car in the 86 model line up. It says column 1 for G-body. Column 2 B body, and Column 3 is for T-body.

Update - I dug out my spare AC box, and to my surprise, I found a pretty nice drain cover. All the tiddies are intact, so I cleaned it up. It will work
