I have the opportunity to grab an 87 CZF 200 4r trans. From everything I've found, it should live behind my mildly built olds 355 (9:1, rv cam) But, I have one question concerning the governor. Should I leave it or swap it out for one that was in the OZ or KZF trans used in the 442's. I've read that the higher shift points take the engine out of it's power band. Wondering if there's any truth to that. I guess the same question would go for the converter.
