Not to me. The Thumper line was developed for noise and appearance. That cam with those specs should be a nitrous cam with all of the added duration on the exhaust side, but instead they set it up with an ICL that should be for a launching at 5000 rpms and an LSA to match. 'Comp Thumper' - all noise and no go. Something with an ICL in the 106 range and LSA in around 110. No more than 8 degrees of split duration to the exhaust side and duration less than 240 for both if you want it it be street friendly. If you want it to thump, then install a manual choke and yank it when you want to hear it.
Basically, pick a cam that works with your compression and short block - don't pick something that can make 650HP when your short block will give up the ghost at 500. If you couldn't tell, I hate the Thumper series.
If I sound like I know something about cams, then I want to correct you - I don't. If you can spare the extra $50-75 for a cam, the contact someone that does - Chris Straub, Mark at Bullet Cam, Cam Motion, etc. There is waaaaay more to a cam than duration, lift, ICL and LSA.
I'm off my soap box lol (probably fell off)
