Hi there everyone!
So last year, I bought a 1984 Bonneville that I ended up being ripped off off.
It was sold to me as having minimal rust, with no other problems according to the seller.
Well, I quickly found out that was not the case.
1. The gas gauge did not work. I was told it sometimes it "gets stuck", which was a lie.
2. The floor pans were completely destroyed. Transmission tunnel was..... Lets just say not much better. My bodyman was shocked when he saw it lol.
3. The dash lights did not work either, one of the 5 previous idiot owners, did a wiring job so bad when converting the dome light to LED, they never bothered to have the circuit all done in a safe manner.
4. The frame rail, at the front was cracked on the steering box.
5. The electric choke on the carburetor, was for some reason had quite the laughable wiring job.
The seller, soon stopped answering my messages despite being very patient and respectful.
But I am please to say, these problems have been fixed. And the vehicle, just got it's safety passed here in Ontario lmao.
With thanks to good people I know and previous experience working with electronics! Now I am having the 305 rebuilt, and the interior redone.
So now I present to you, the 3 months of blood, sweat, and tears to give this Pontiac Bonneville, a true royal treatment for sure.
