Why is everybody so excited over a car with at least one rusty quarter, wheezer 305, wasted interior, and a manual trans that nobody is going to leave in it?
If you took away the Saginaw, it'd be just another east coast car that needs everything.
Not trying to come off as an *ss, but sometimes I think people forget what it costs to make a car NICE, and overpay to get in the game. IMO, this is one of those cars...unless owning the factory 4 speed is the "must-have" in your life. I'll take good sheetmetal over other stuff any day.
There's nothing but desert 100 miles west of you!!I'll have a Malibu eventually.
Have my eye on one about 100 miles west of me.
Alright, I guess it's technically maybe NW. You know that cement plant on 84? There's one sitting in that little "town" next to it. I'll be inquiring about it when the dust settles and I have a spot to work on it.There's nothing but desert 100 miles west of you!!
The way I read it, he said swap in a trans with another gear. Already has 4 so I think he means a 5 spd.Manual. As I've stated before IMO. It's not something like a 70 SS 454 . A numbers matchng G Malibu will NEVER be worth more than the condition of the vehicle. With the age of that car, anything that makes it better than Grandma's 6 cyl. Should be replaced .All you have to do is watch B-J to see that restomods usually sell for more than #matching.Did you read the one guy's comment near the end? He'd put an automatic in it, because let's destroy the one thing that makes the car special......
