Now, before anyone goes and drops a $500 bill on this NOS brass brake combination valve, ENSURE you know what it fits and if it fits your application. DO NOT go by the vendor selling the crap. This particular valve will fit, but there's a reason it is for 81-84 Diesel G-bodies (and some exports w/JE1 RPO) and not gas-powered G-bodies.

This is p/n 25509418. This is NOT the correct part number for your North American gas powered car 78-88. At least not everything that the ad states that it fits. It may physically bolt up, but something is different.

MOSTLY, the correct p/n you would need if you don't have a diesel or export is 25509419. There are some cars that use a different part number depending on engine and such (like Elky uses the 19 through 84, then uses an export valve 25516011 for 85-87), so make sure you know what you need. Don't be fooled. CHECK YOUR SPECIFIC PART FITMENT. I know that it can be hard sometimes with superseded part numbers, but when you're thinking of dropping $500 for an NOS combination valve, you better have done your due diligence.

That said, the only thing I can think of is the metering spring setup inside is somehow different between the two p/n's. TBH, I've never had a brass combination valve, so I don't pay too much attention to them. But an 18 is not a 19 in the math table. There is something different. If anyone knows what that is, please contribute. I did see on one of the pictures there seems to be some sort of plug on the rear valve fitting. Is that the only difference? I dunno. Just be aware.
