I have a friend that hit me up with an odd request, and I'm hoping that someone may have one laying around in their parts piles... looking fpr a specific intake that's probably rarer than a t-bone on a living/grazing cow. I'll also post in the wanted section as well...

he's looking for a speedpro sbc intake, part # pce-148.1011. none listed on fleabay, and is a discontinued part through speedpro themselves..

Not seeing air cleaners of any kind in the picture so wondering if they would be an accessory that would be fitted instead of those stub stacks?

Some people run a screen on each stack, but many run nothing but the stacks.

he's going to run mikuni carbs on it. he's a toyota and dodge guy, so when I asked him what he was doing wanting aa sbc intake, he simply said "modifying it to fit my 400 chrysler"... having worked with metal, and aircraft, I'm not questioning his fabrication skills. he said the ports matched his intake ports on the heads, and if IIRC, plans to run mikuni 48's.... states that they will out perform webers...

he gave me the part # and started to describe it, so I pulled it up the computer, and first thought "that's carguy hardcore p*rn..."

Mikunis? As in side draft Mikunis?? Dual throat Side Draft Mikunis??? Apart from adapting the manifold itself, once he finds???? one, how much thought has he given to the linkage that will be needed to control multiple carbs that just happen to be laying on their sides................................................. Bell Cranks and Spherical rod ends and brackets Oh My!

he doesn't have access to the type of equipment that he'd need to fab something from scratch, but enough to modify...

yea, series 48 single barrel sidedrafts... guy is a parts hoarder of sorts, and was an active member of the scca for a good while, and says he can get his hands on all 8... he has a built toyota motor that he's done something similar with, but the body was scrapped several years ago, and the motor lives in storage now.

linkage debacle? did I mention that this guy used to work on aircraft? he sees stuff like this and over-engineers it...
