Hey there, Thank you so much for for accepting me into this community. My name is Oscar, but people call me KIKO. I'm from San Jose, CA (Bay Area) and just recently 3 Months ago I bought a 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix GBody. Then I hear people saying how these cars were ugly because of it's split grill. OF course everybody want Oldmobiles, Montecarlos, Regals but, I bought it because growing up my dad had a 1984 Buick Riviera and I was going to buy one but, my dad passed away from Cancer 3 years ago. So, I decided to get one, but the problem lied in the differential, it was front wheel drive, not rear wheel drive. I didn't want to mess with that anyways, I Found this 1979 GP that looked really close to the Rivi to me and I bought it. For the past 4 Months I have been building this beautiful 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix without knowing anything about it. I liked the GBody style and it kind of reminded me of my dads 1984 Buick Riviera body lines. So, here I'm building and learning about the car getting replacement parts and working on it little by little. I was lucky that it didn't have any serious rust only surface rust. the undercarriage seemed to look spectacular. But, I still degreased it and scuffed it and painted it with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator Plus Matt Black and now it looks even better. Granted many thing need new parts but it will look better than ever I should have it done April I think just in time for summer. Hopeful God allowing I can get it goin really soon. Here's a Video from how it looked.
