Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 or Special Edition?

Hi all, first time posting here.

My late uncle left behind what appears to be a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 however it appears to be modified in someway. As far as I can tell, the 2+2 is the only Pontiac that had the Aerocoupe style to it.
It appears to have been de-badged and had fender skirts installed. There kind of a debate in my family now on what it actually is, if its a 2+2 or not.

Its a bit beat up now and I want to restore it, so I would like to know what you all think. Is it a 2+2 or some other special edition of the Grand Prix?

There should be a sticker on the inside of the trunk lid that will show all the options it came with from the factory. Block out the last 6 digits of the vin and post a picture of it.

Have you looked thru old paper to see if there is any dealer paperwork still floating around?

It should be inside of a clear plastic pouch. That's how the original 2+2 rpo tags came on them

I will need to check if the stick is still there.

I do not have access to the car right now, but as soon as I do, i will share it here. I appreciate the responses!

I'm a jackass, but those skirts have to go!

Followed closely by the wheels, IMO

Sorry, had to be said
They aren't my cup of tea either but I do appreciate that it is different

Is it just me, or do the rear quarters on that look like they’ve been widened?

I thought GP’s quarters were straight to the doors like every other G?
No, they definitely have a bulge like that from the factory... the side skirts really skew the view though

It's just a 2+2 without the decals and a set of JC whitney tack-on rear fender covers.
