I bought a motor to rebuild and not sure why pistons have a raised tit in center of piston, is this a turbo piston?

Those are "pre-turbo" pistons, with lathe centering bosses. The bosses were deleted when the first turbo was developed, as they were heat magnets and caused detonation. They were deleted from non-turbo pistons as well.
