1987 salon 307 spark plugs

Nope. R46Z is for 5A heads and earlier.

7A heads are different. You will need equivalent to ACDelco FR3LS6.
Thanks! Found out 2 hours ago. cancelled order, ordering correct plugs. my 70’s-80’s mechanical experience very rusty!!! Wish olds wouldve kept thisd 5A heads through 87-88 classic

Iirc ignore the gap spec of .080 if that's what it calls for. Go .060 or .045.

Roller cammed 307s used the FR3LS6, which comes pre-gapped at 0.060". But always check each gap before installing. The old 0.080" gaps went out the window soon after the 85 model year due to blowing out modules. Hence, the R46SZ (pre-gapped to 0.060") was listed to replace the R46SX (pre-gapped to 0.080") that came in factory applications. I just bend the gap closer on the SX to 0.50". Not like anyone would notice, but I'm keeping the factory green ring plugs.
