1978 Malibu Project, 4th times a charm

Slack on any updates, work and all. Did buy another engine, a 480hp at the crank 383, AFR heads with roller drivetrain, fresh flywheel and clutch for LT T56(one piece rear main style) for $540.

Don't know what I'll do with that but add to the collection
You can ship it to me and I'll let you know when it gives up??

I'll bet it's good for 900-1000whp. 🤷‍♂️

This engine is clean, well built, and fresh. SBC Chevy, should be a 383, AFR aluminum Pro 1 64cc/215cc heads with 2.05/1.60 valves, Comp Cams guideplates/1.60 roller rockers, moly pushrods, Lunati roller llifters, Cloyes 9 position timing chain, Cloyes aluminum timing cover with roller button, aftermarket billet 4-bolt main caps, billet H-beam steel rods, Ross pistons, and every internal fastener is ARP. Once I figure out what cam is in it I can bag it and stash it for the future.

Contact FTI with the serial number. It would be crazy if they would warranty it for you.

Whether they warranty it or not - it’s a deal.

I get by with a little help from forum friends. Picked up a pair of stock g body spindles from scoti to try and correct the tie rods hitting the 9.5" wide front wheels with 275/40/17 tires I want to run on the front.

Looks like a stock set will work with this setup although the wheels will need the center bore opened up for the Wilwood hubs which also means no center caps but the Wilwood hub looks good enough without it.

Just for fun at full drop in the front. Cambers out a -5.5* with no shims. -2.3* at ride height

With a stock bottom arm and using the Chicane upper coilover mounts the chock length at ride height the coilover would need to be 11" long.
