Ok thank you. I didn't see any sort of nut so was confused. Just saw the U shaped clip. Thanks for clarification here.

Got it out today. Biggest pain was actually getting the steering shaft out of the rag joint... that took forever. I appreciate the guidance here fellas never doing it before. Will post continued progress in my interior refresh build thread from here.
Here are the pics of the end results today! Going to try to clean up that wiring after re-install. Also took due care to ziptie the gear indicator wire and Ubolt out of the way and marked the column for re-install. 👍👍😎
