BUILD THREAD Saved from scrap. My new 87 Regal project.

It's been a hot minute. I may as well update this.

I've picked up a set of manifolds off a 2012 Camaro SS for cheap. And despite this photo I do have the dipstick installed in it now.
Rktpwrd Gave me a hand drilling out and replacing a mangled transmission dowel. Thanks for the help dude!

I had high hopes of having the car together sometime late April/May.
Finding rear frame rot wasn't a big deal. I was just going to send it. Replace the rotten body bushings and patch the frame later. Of course it just can't be that simple. Upon further inspection I found the body side of the bushing in this location to be rotten and in need of repair. This is when I decided to pivot and build a fresh roller.

I have had this boxed frame sitting in my flower bed in the back yard for a couple of years. Rktpwrd was stuck in my hometown for work again so I tricked him to come over with beer and food so he could give me a hand dragging it into the driveway and push the Regal out.

This afternoon I hosed it down with de-greaser and pressure washed the hell out of it and rolled it into the shop.

So the plan now is to get this frame into a fresh roller so I can wheel it under the body. I already have the 8.8 Swap arms/hardware, so I picked up some front end parts.I need to grab a few more things and clean up my spare calipers/spindles, but I should be able to get the front end together in no time. That will put some pressure on me to get the 8.8 ready. I have been procrastinating on that for far too long.

Hell yeah man! Glad to finally see some progress. I was happy to help out, anytime brother.

Bribing me with a couple cold ones and a hot home cooked meal when I was away from home was a no-brainer and well worth it for me.
