...right in, lined up #1 at 50 degrees as in the instructions, just need to check the LED for the sensor alignment. I also modified a 3 wire crank sensor plug to plug into the knock sensor plug into the Terminator X Max. The crank sensor plug needed the plastic ground down on the sides of the...
...hitting it at all. And it runs great if I change out the cam sensor. I am thinking there’s an issue somewhere with voltage but unsure where to look. Cars been doing this for months! I was also told by Holley to try a grey 58x crank sensor (the new ones are black) but no one sells the grey ones.
the msd box came with both wiring harness 24 and 58 and my engine builder said that i have more timing opinions cause im also going to run nos anywhere from 200-500
...it is out of a '67 Impala with a Powerglide. I rebuilt both about 29-30 yrs ago. block was bored 30 over IIRC but I don't recall whether the crank was forged.
283 is now really a 287 with about 1 hour of runtime. should be plenty of space under the hood for that supercharger and get the big...
I have an INTERMITTENT no start problem on my Grand National. It cranks, but no start. When this happens, there is NO SPARK and NO FUEL INJECTOR PULSE.
However if I just let the car sit a day or two and come back to try again and it may starts right up.
I have changed the cam sensor with a...
...the mini-mouse motor I've created for it. Built 4bolt/sbc to rev with fastburns on 4bolt/all forged bottom roller block with stroked chrome DZ crank. Have not examined the rear on Cutty chassis, was a 3.8 (with factory tach .. ??). Nice car with perfect perforated vinyl interior I always...
...light means you don't have to disconnect anything to test for spark. As soon as it dies, get to the side of the road if possible, have a friend crank it after you hook up the leads to the timing light, any cylinder will do, doesn't matter which spark plug wire but preferably #1. Have them...
Correct on the 96-97, you need the reluctor, crank dampener hub, and timing cover. I believe a 96-97 harness can simply be repinned over to the 411 stuff (maybe 94-95 too?), but for me with the b@$r@rd 93 setup I get to crimp new pins onto my existing Painless harness and add a MAF and crank...
...the duct and which acts to deflect dust and debris away from the rad. Like the panel to shelf, it gets pop riveted into place as well. The pop rivets are mushroom head, aluminum body and pin. Not about weight, likely about rust if steel rivets were used. Also easier to crank into place...
...harbor freight welder. I could pick the truck up with that angle iron. I usually use it for exhaust or thin sheet metal stuff so it's fun to crank it and go nuts on thicker stuff.
With the old setup the lights would bend the tabs and move around with every bump in the road, they're a lot...
L98 TPI Engines as well as the 1993 LT1 ran off of SFI, also known as Batch Fire. Ignition Control Module (ICM) goes out you'll still have fuel, just no spark.
...car stalled and then didn't want to start for a good 10 minutes or so and really only started when I put my foot on the gas. It does the slow crank like it doesn't have enough juice for some reason, so finally after letting it sit a bit as I said she started with a blip of the gas so we ran...
You need to disconnect the line from the carb and put a "T" in between the line and the fuel inlet. You can just use rubber hose, but you'll need to get a short 3/8 brake line and cut it and install one piece into the fuel inlet. Make sure to use hose clamps on the lines.1.18v is too high, but...
Radiator, hoses, air intake w/filter, spark plug wires and boots are all on order. I'm hoping all goes well and I can crank her up this Saturday...
I still have some wiring to do and tightening up a few nuts and bolts...
I'm going to strap on three feet of of 3 inch exhaust piping until I...
This one has aluminum knobs but specifically says don't over tighten. Was getting ready to vac system. Changed pump oil because it has to be 20 years old. You think dif gear oil smells bad. Ha. Nasty. Anyway bumped it on and coupler exploded. Waiting on parts now.
One of the first things I do, pull everything off the starter and leave only the battery cable and solenoid starting wire ..then route everything to the battery and fuse.
Actually, thanks for bringing up the LS aspect as I have yet another question on that subject. Any truth to the statement that, in order to run the Camaro water pump, the crank pulley has to match; i.e. be from a Camaro or Vette or similar?

I tried to turn it over once it shut off and everything sounds as it should, no banging no loss of oil, I did notice the oil fill cap came off but the engine bay is clean.
...or exhaust. I replaced the rod bearings, showing copper and main bearings, looked OK, no more clatter but still shitty oil pressure warm. The crank need turned and new bearings. Shitty with the 1600 stall and 2.78 gears. Easy 1/4 block one wheel peeling with a 2350 stall and better 2.74 first...
