Rattling noise? Must be on your end, Sir.
Buttoned up the exhaust, added a hanger and popped the wheels back on.
I am still trying to figure out how/why the rear has gone down over a half inch without any changes.
After a short drive it's decided to self clearance. Not surprisingly.
So...
What does the car weigh race weight and street trim with the whole family in it? A lot of that is again a compromise.
My wagon has 175-200lbs of spring in the back and it carts around three kids (two are mine) and two adults (one the jury is still out on) just fine. I wouldn't change it for...
Took a little time to goop some more paint onto the car. Copious amounts of POR-15 to help seal up the gaps, seams, and pinholes... I do love me some capillary action.
Literally watching paint dry at this stage.
I also increased the material thickness for the lower shock mounts. Not pretty...
Completely forgot I ordered these rear control arm alignment bushings. Amazon sent them to the post office. Derp.
This will stand the rear tires up from the -1* to something closer to 0*. Demon specs.
Tony1968 's reaction reminded me of this thread. Ironically I picked up four cans of the cheapest sh*t on the shelf yesterday. And ran a quick test strip. Yup, gross.
Also grabbed a couple more cans of these for touch-ups:
Eyes off those classified notes!
Meth and/or nitrous will solve that.
Open HPTuners and measure the off/on throttle time in your logs. Simple as that to gain a baseline.
When I went from 3.42s to 4.56s in my MCSS it turned a mid-13 second car into a mid-12 second car. Same with Natasha's old B4C going from 3.08s to 4.11s...
It's definitely a combination thing.
I agree that a stick car needs a bias ply tire... I cannot begin to express the launch consistency I gained going QTPs - it was night and day over the radials.
But, if he changes the tires, suspension (to match the bias plys), gears, and shift points and...
Put the street tires and wheels back on the Hellcat. We took the wagon and got caught in a downpour - it was hydroplaning everywhere with all the standing water on the highway.
At least now we have tread... and traction control... and air bags.
Also, I put the interior back together. Because...
Watch your charge air temps with the added rotor speed... you might end up losing power if efficiency falls off.
How much time do you anticipate losing during your shifts? The mechanical advantage of the gears will be an improvement, but you still have a set amount of time off power. The...
Come a long way in 5 years... But, not out of the woods yet.
Primed, seam sealed, and undercoated the rest of the wheel tubs and dusted some primer on those patch panels I identified needing oh so long ago. Pretty hilarious in retrospect... never thought I would have been the one to make them...
Ironically it was the first one I grabbed out of the rack to familiarize myself with. And coincidentally it was also one of the two I was evaluated on. The other was the pump action 12 gauge... the second one I familiarized myself with in class.
It might be a sign. ;)
Thanks for weighing in!
For modern ethanol blended gasoline you'll probably find that the engine wants to be 3-6% richer than 1.00 at around 0.970-0.940. For best power you are going to be in the .860-.920 range. Happy cruise is going to be in that place between .920 and .970.
Anything closer/at/slightly over 1.00...
Happy Father's Day to all the natural sperm producing people who sired children, and then stuck around to help raise and provide for them.
