MONTE CARLO "COPO" Monte Carlo SS - Turbosaurus Build (Swinging Dick Racing's c*ck got bent... she bounced a little too high & hard, & came down awkwardly)

Finished tweaking on the HellKitty and got the Monte back on the operating table. I have a bunch of little things I want to address before I start driving the piss out of the car this Summer. As you can see the boom tube was designed to allow for lifting/jacking. Found my second wind...

    Getting the F' Outta Dodge.

Thanks! We're leaning into this property to make the most of our time here. Natasha is going nuts with her garden and I just pruned half a tree at the front of the house. Now it doesn't look like a bush on a stick. I must say... some of my neighbours have some serious equipment. Either...

    Vent/ductwork foam seal replacement?

I just used black foam weather stripping and cut it to size.

    Getting the F' Outta Dodge.

Yesterday Tatiana and I gave the ol' JD D140 her 100 hour service - on basically it's 10th birthday. Oil, lube, and filter... and some hand sharpened blades. Then I sent her out to mow a chunk of the property. She did well, despite almost driving into a slough. But, for her first time it was...

What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2022]

You can choose to season the sauce. I usually do. Onion and garlic powder, black and cayenne pepper, paprika, Lea and Perrin's Worsctesucsususreure sauce... and a cup of ketchup as a base. The rub is paprika, cayenne and black pepper, salt, and onion powder.

What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2022]

The Mike-Rib is back, baby! 24 hour marinade in Dr. Pepper, then broiled in it at 350*F. 3L of Dr. Pepper reduced to syrup and turned into BBQ sauce. The glazed for 45mins.

What did you do to your shop today?

Free? I don't really know. It's a crushed blue grey rock. I just threw it down as a temporary fix. I am going to get a bunch of (12?) yards of 3/4" river rock and see what that nets me.

1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Sedan LS Turbo Build

Yes and yes on all accounts. PSI is meaningless without supporting data; but, yes you can keep cranking it up until cranking it up stops working. The problem is you won't know why. Did you run out of air flow through the turbine or the compressor or the engine or all three? Simply put you...

    BUILD THREAD “The Juggernaut”

Surprised you didn't tape line it. For example at 5:30 mark: It is the lesser of two evils IMO. But... There is the complexity vs. reward vs. time aspect to consider as well. Juice worth the squeeze? Looks awesome none the less. I am still convinced that you are a masochist. ;)

What did you do to your shop today?

Graded and covered the area in front of the shop that keeps taking on water when it's raining. This was a muddy mess and it was getting tracked into my office/the shop. I even had to reopen one of the irrigation ditches during the last rain fall. Supposed to get an healthy dose more this...

PSI is a measure of restriction. How much air mass does it flow at each pressure increment?

1980 Pontiac LeMans Station Wagon - G-T-faux (stuck with it, and can't shake it... like a bad case of herpes)

I am really lucky that we are getting the support we are from Performance Plus. But, there are a lot of car people so I imagine I'd get help from other enthusiast shops too.

2019 Challenger Widebooty HellKitty (she's giving me the meatsweats...)

Excuse me for having difficulty giving up my "air privilege". I know it isn't quite as hard to accept losing 3% power for every 1000 ft when you are rolling around in a 150hp Tree-Fiddy-Five... but, when you start seeing losses in the double digits it is noticeable because...

2019 Challenger Widebooty HellKitty (she's giving me the meatsweats...)

I have no clue how the Summers are going to compare. So far Spring is far wetter than anticipated. I'd think I would rather have water displace oxygen than not have oxygen available. The QTPs are a DOT tubeless slick. These tires are listed at 13.5-.7 section width. Beefy. The real goal...

1980 Pontiac LeMans Station Wagon - G-T-faux (stuck with it, and can't shake it... like a bad case of herpes)

You might be surprised to learn that getting parts for these cars is getting more difficult. Or maybe it's just a function of living up here? Anyway, it took a bit to source a washer pump for this thing. Changing it out isn't hard... but, it certainly is annoying. That is the last piece...

2019 Challenger Widebooty HellKitty (she's giving me the meatsweats...)

Oh... here's what the QTPs look like on a widebooty car on the same wheels. Much sexier than the current M&Hs.

2019 Challenger Widebooty HellKitty (she's giving me the meatsweats...)

It would definitely seem so, but not quite that bad. Here are the measured elevations of the tracks I spent most of my life racing at: Cayuga, ON (near Niagara): 675.9 ft St. Thomas, ON (near London): 741 ft Grandbend, ON: 803.8 ft Napierville, QC (near Montreal): 197 ft Luskville, QC (near...

1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Sedan LS Turbo Build

Yes, that... but, I got the kit with the seats angled to match the injector angle. I just had to modify the brackets a bit to suit. Also, easy enough to make new brackets.
