New Alternator Issues
Unfortunately as said, reman alternators can be very hit or miss. I got a 94 amp 12SI replacement that was garbage, needed revving and failed bearings. So I found out the 124 amp CS130 alternator has a larger case and different mounting. I have a warranty replacement coming from Rock Auto, a 105 amp CS130. I really like this Spectre cold air intake, a noticeable gain IMHO. I have achieved my best MPG, 41.7 Imperial since running this intake. CUTLASS Rebuild an R4 compressor? Piece of cake.
Great job, as usual. I did a new clutch on a 94 model, what a PIA to remove, I had to combine two pullers. Unless you are using these on special G bodies, which you will, I would avoid these POS. Are you sure it is not an Olds 307? An Olds 455 is a nearly a direct swap. An Olds 350 and 403 are direct swaps.- olds307 and 403

Unfortunately only the 305 HP 3.6 and ZF 8 speed auto is only available. The bigger ZF 8 speed, this one is only rated at around 350 ft/lbs of torque. Yeah, the aptly named Fishing Lake is loaded with aggressive Walleye and Pike. It is all sand and gravel bottom, very clear in the Spring and we fish in 6 to 11 ft, usually around 9 ft.
