Im union and i will say this, when it works it works, however when they get greedy thats when the help stops. Unions are and started life out as a way to protect the employees. I would hate for my job to be non union and the company could walk up and fire whoever they wanted for whatever reason...
Lot of good input here, something that did catch my eye is that while i do like the euro nose and think its different, i think its because of the FWD cars of the era that kind of throws it for me. It was almost like GM wanted the Gbodys to look like the crappy FWDs right before they canned them...
Okay guys as the build on my 87 cutlass progresses i cant decide on the front clip option. Of course the original is the euro style nose but i also have a 4 headlight version available. Tough choice. Vote and let me know what you think. Keep in mind this will be a black car with the 442 graphics...
Today I'm prepping the body for the frame, POR 15 the frame channel and anywhere i can't access once the frame is installed. Had some left over so I got the insides of the quarter panels, trunk floor, and rain channel around the trunk lid and back glass
Those engines ship out of the cummins plant in Columbus I work at. Well put together little kit. Although yes it is expensive. It's a 2.8 liter that would move our cars around pretty well. Jeep guys use them mostly
Yeah I searched pretty good before the post, I know I saw a thread that listed the size at one point. I may just order the kit. Terrified to go pull one from the wife's car she would kill me if one snapped
Does anyone have a good measurement of the size and thread pitch on the body mount bolts as well as the length? I've got my cutlass almost ready for bolts and wanted to get some ordered from fastenal
Body slowly going back on the frame. What a pain to get everything just right to get it back in there. Have to sort out body bolts before I raise it into it's new home.
I'm putting head studs on mine, ARP. Should resolve the issue of the head gaskets blowing. For one of our cutlass we are using a 6.5 turbo diesel for obvious reasons but for my wifes cutlass we are building the original 5.7 olds diesel to see what we can get out of it
Why am i still surprised by peoples stupidity??? Think looks like they craned it out of a lake and put it up for sale. Looks like half the things are broken on it under the hood and he wants 13,000 bucks for it??? Oh wait maybe all the stuff on the outside is the remnants of the sellers hopes...
I would like to run 15x8 AERO wheels on the front of my cutlass and 15x10 on the rear if possible. Does anyone know what backspacking would work front and rear on that setup and a ballpark on the tire size? I was thinking 3 inch backspacking on the rear but want to make sure im not going to rub...
