What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2023]
It was explained to me that's a wives-tail dating back to when batteries were made out of wood. The wood would soak in moisture out of the concrete and it would alter the chemistry in the battery. But if it's not wood allegedly it doesn't matter.- 81cutlass

What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2023]
Were they quiet the whole time? Mine had 52k and the rears started squealing on reverse. I bought motocraft ones because default and the old ones weren't that worn, maybe 70%?, but the new ones solved the squeal noise.- 81cutlass

60’ capability with stk style suspension?
HR parts is still in business, they just don't have much of a customer facing part of their business from what I understand. You gotta go through a distributor. I got an HR parts poly motor mount for my turbo buick setup last spring.- 81cutlass

Boosted 4 and 6 vs current gen V8's
Best for mileage? Best for power/towing under warranty? Best for long term reliability? There's a reason I searched long and hard for a 5.0 Ford with the dual DI/Port FI system. 1mpg isn't worth the hassle of changing turbos at 160k because they are clogged with oil schmoo. -

Happel posted on the sloppy page that Holley had some clearance items. I checked and they had retrobright headlights on sale for over 50% off (orig $200 now $94). I've heard they are great and it looks like they superceeded the PN with some light wiring changes. The lites on my GP suck anyways...- 81cutlass

1983 Big Block Monte Slow Build
Most straight forward way to validate is pull the wiper motor out and remove the m7 head hardness retaining bolt and just pull the harness out. If it looks like the top diagram i posted its a 84-87 If it looks like the bottom hand sketch (Arizona shape) it's 78-82 I haven't had clarification...- 81cutlass

Is that bundle of cut off wires you are holding coming out of the drivers side fuse box or the passenger side under the HVAC? I assume it's the fuse box? If so, 83 is the transition year between early and late. I think it's late. The printed out version is a 84-87 GN, cut out the powermaster...- 81cutlass
