In process of switching over the standard steering wheel in the Cutlass to the factory sport style one.
Stock wheel uses a wire to connect to the "switch" which is in the horn pad.
Sport wheel uses the old standby plunger and spring arrangement to actuate the horn.
The new wheel came with the...
While I don't have one, my son does in the house he rents.
I'd have to look at the brand as I never really paid attention to it.
His place is really just a small cottage with only one bathroom and the kitchen.
Don't know the specs on his water quality but I do know they replace the filters every...
I tried to look up the thread from the OP when he was parting out the car this cluster came from but its been wiped.
It was either 78 or 79, but not newer.
I did some net surfing and found a video on cluster repairs, and looking at my cluster I found one of the nuts that hold the gauges to the...
Oil pressure sending unit is a Standard PS154 (78-88 Oldsmobile w/gauge)
Temp sending unit is a Standard TS71 - I don't remember what the application was for that one.

Volt gauge INOP.
Temp gauge INOP.
No lights work in cluster when you turn H/Lamps on.
Car starts and runs.

Plugged it in, hooked up the battery and have nothing except fasten belts...
Will have to wait till it cools off.
Have to pull the dash back panel, disconnect the switches and the white bracket is screwed in from the backside....
Cant access it without pulling it ALL out....
So, found a new issue I haven't heard of before.
Got the wiring all re-pinned, secured the two unused wires and went to set the cluster in the hole.
Turns out the speedo drive does NOT line up when swapping in the rally dash.
It looks as if there is a different retainer in the dash that holds...
Looking at the list of terminal 1 it looks to be mainly for a diesel application.
I know I need to add the white tach wire.
Looking closer at the donor rally dash it looks to not have had the additional plug either.
Gonna repin the wires, add the white one and send it!
So, I bought a used Rally dash a while back to swap into the '78 Cutlass. Have the standard granny dash with I-dot lamps and my kids been hammering me to get it done.
It cools down below 100 deg tonight so I dive in.
Fairly easy to access it all and pull the cluster out. Looks like I'm missing...
