What bolt size do i need?

Previous owners have messed with the car before so i am missing 2 bolts, those bolts are used in mating the TH200R4 and the engine (305cui) together. Can someone please tell me what size i need, i think its not metric but i am not sure. Thank you Jeroen

After led headlight install no turns/hazards/brake lights.

That will work IF theres a current running towards the fusebox, if not then circuit tester is of no use. In my case no current towards the fuse box because i forgot the new battery cable.

After led headlight install no turns/hazards/brake lights.

@potiacgp used a multimeter and pulled the fuses one by one and checked them with the meter. There was no need to fix the wire, the wire was okay, the only problem was its was not connected to any powersource, on the fuse box you see little arrows pointing down where a fuse is, the arrow means...

After led headlight install no turns/hazards/brake lights.

Found it ! The fuse box gets its current from different places, the one thats connected to the starter motor provides current for the dome light and other acc. Then there is the one thats connected to the plus side of the alternator, and since i am in the process to change out the battery cables...

Hello All, Hope some electrical wizzard can point me in the right direction. What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Finally took it upon myself to do the timing gear and chain, everything came out okay, was a bit of a shocker to see the old gears and chain. New gear and chain is in place, nice and tight, timing cover has a new bottom seal in place, tomorrow everything including new waterpump and balancer...

My 80' Chevrolet Malibu Classic SW

I know its an old topic, but wanted to throw in my 2 cents, problem was the same the dome light stays on. I never found how to check the light switch for failure so i am guessing its the little orange module. That little orange module is expensive in the States, but its price becomes ridiculous...

removing doorhinge with the door in the car

Since i am on holliday and not going away from home i have the time, so i hulk slammed the door shut en since the fenders are of the car i can access the hinges from the front of the door which is still in the closed position. removing doorhinge with the door in the car

Just a quick Q: I am currently restoring a 79 MC, doors sag a lot, so new bushings and pins. Fenders are off the car so easy access tot the hinges. If i support the door, can i get the hinge out to replace bushings and pins outside of the car, of course one at the time, like upper first...

Anyone still make a Class III Hitch for these?

What are the odds, in the Netherlands getting a hitch is nearly impossible, can buy it from the USA, but price is getting ridiculous. Local selling site said "trailer hitch 1978 el camino, free to collect for the first one who responds to my add" So a fast message to the owner and i am the lucky...

Is your G-body "Old School" or "Restomod"?

I think its restomod and a bit ! 1979 MC with a 305 running on LPG, its getting a th200r4 and rebuild rear axle (3.42) Its rusted as it can be, and is currently in the process of being rustorated. Made some alterations on the door as the bottom nearly fell out. Doing all the work myself, and...

Flagman77 finally responds to all the great advice.

Same here, i have the car my father always wanted but couldn't get his hands on, and i am restoring and customizing it the way we always spoke of. It is going to take forever to finish i know, because parts in the Netherlands are nowhere to be found and being its a '79 doesn't help either. Some...

Do '73 doors fit into '79 Monte carlo?

The other door is just like this one, i am currently rustoring the sheetmetal and have welded some odd places in the car. So i am not afraid to weld the doors, welded in some custom outer door grips. Those are all small places, not a whole bottom of a door, if i f this up i have no backup, parts...

Do '73 doors fit into '79 Monte carlo?

Problem is i have an '79 MC. I have given up to find some doors in Europe, there just not around.! The doors i have now are "repaired" by the PO and the bottoms are sticking out of the car, if i want to correct this i need to cut the complete bottom off the doors, thats a lot of work and time...
