Mine does not have them. It has the older heads.. I was told it might be a target master with the older 80's style junk heads. Is there a way of finding out other then the casting on the back of the block?..I'm also going to pull the valve covers to get the casting from the heads.

Should a 87-90 350 (casting 14101148) one piece rear seal and one piece pan gasket have center bolt heads?

Out of all the numbers on the sticker...how do you know what number stands for what?

Ok guys.. I looked for leaks ...found none.. I did however discover that the secondaries on the Weber carb are not closing all the way..probably almost a quarter inch. Advance got me a complete rebuild kit for the quadrajet for 21.99. That is being done now. Sooo..I'm going to tune it up again...

90's chevy truck is what I got mine from. I just unbolted the ac lines from the back of the compressor and just using it as a pulley.

Thanks Dog... That's my plan as far as getting a more accurate reading. I'm looking for an overdrive transmission and My father in law is rebuilding a quadrajet for it. I guess I will start at the carb and work my way to the tank looking for a leak. I haven't seen anything when it's parked though.

I'm not sure 86.. I know as far as I was told when I got the car ..the rear and the transmission (200 r4) then were supposed to be stock. The transmission blew and I ran across the Th350 for $75 so I used it.

Yeah my father in law knows his way around Quadrajets..Right now I have a Weber 1406 (600 cfm). I'm not sure of the rear ratio..stock LS rear. I get the smell of gas once it's been ran and shut off for a few minutes but it seems to be coming right from the carb. I do travel I95 at about 70-75...

I wish !.. I just don't get it.. Doesn't foul plugs..doesn't smoke, no gas in the oil .. It must have a leak somewhere I just can't find. It does have a gas smell when I get from point a to b..only after I shut it off.

I have also seen the modulator valve on the transmission cause this.
