Are these headers ok for a weekend driver? I've heard they are ok, i've also heard they are junk. So what is the deal with them? What issues will I have with them? I'm almost finish with my 403, it's been a very slow process.
The guy sold the 68 heads but i've located another 72 engine with 7a heads for 300.
How much is involved with this swap. Can some one give me a list of things i have to do?
What kind of hp numbers will I see, just a rough estimate?
Found some 68 olds 350 heads hadn't purchase yet the guy wants $350 and they have to be redone. How much more hp will i gain going this route? Is the head swap really worth the trouble for a weekend driver?
Is this a good engine kit? Also is this a good price? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&toolid=10001&campid=5335822911&icep_item=170656076638
Trying to find a good mild cam for my 403 everything is stock. Going to upgrade since i have it down. I've read about an RV cam but i have mixed views on it. Will i see any change or should i just replace it with the stock cam??
Went with the 403 engine will post more pics when i open it up. Just cleaned it up today, saw several thing i need to get. Not sure about the balancer.
Well guys I checked my voltage with my dad's meter. It's on 14.4 volts with everything on. Can my guage on the dash be fixed, it's all wrong. Not reading the right voltage.
yes it's steady at maybe 13 volts with everything off. But with blower fan on high and headlights on, voltage drops, its in the yellow on my guage. my old alternator was doing that. So i guess ill switch it back and sell the cs144. I don't see any advantage of having it, unless i'm doing...
it drops when i turn everything on, I thought when i switch to the 140 amp alternator the volts should be steady. Not dropping like the factory alternator.
Upgraded to the cs144 and my voltage still drops. What could be wrong? Running 4 guage battery wire, napa harness adapter, everything is tight. With my blower fan on high, headlight on, and my guage still is in the yellow. Should have just waited until i did the engine swap with the 403 i...
I really want a stock 403 that will burn rubber on a budget. That's why i want a mild cam, thought it would give me that extra little push. but guess not if i don't get my compression up.
looked a comp cam 252 i thinks it like 206/206
