    I just went through this last weekend while trial fitting everything......those trim pieces are held in by a series of panhead trim screws which are under the roof rail seal. Some seals are glued in, others aren't - luck of the draw for you......hopefully you don't have to destroy the seals to...

    Those plastic bits on the rear corners of a Malibu, along with the nose cone, licence plate pocket and other buts of rubber that were painted from the factory....anybody got helpful tips on how to remove the paint from these?

    565BBChevy, you were right about the extra thickness of the cap causing issues.....I installed the gauge module into the dash yesterday and it fought me all the way. The additional lip area was the problem. For future reference, a heat gun will soften your dash cap's edges and the gauge panel...
