    Rear End Fitment

Is that a Turbo Regal? What year is it. All Turbo Regals from 1984 on had 8.5" 10-bolts which are plenty strong.

    Rear End Fitment

Need upper control arms, shortened driveshaft and probably wheels with increased backspacing.

    Ford 9 inch

Depends on what you consider minor; none of the control arm or spring mounts are in the right place so they will all have to be fabricated and welded on.

    oil pressure

Nah, you don't need to repalce the oil pan gasket; just loosen the bolts enough to remove the timing cover and use silicone sealant to reseal it. I've done it many many times.

It's impossible to say too many nasty things about people that drive Shoyu Burners.

    V6 Rears?

All 7.5" 10-bolts were the same regardless of the engine. I doubt that you are going to make enough power with a 231 V6 to cause any problems but don't fool around and waste your money trying to modify a 7.5" for extra strenght.

    Stupid GBody Comments

What do you think? A parts counter guy had a hard decision to make: "let's see now I can be a brain surgeon or a parts guy".

    CUTLASS REAR END

Any G Body (except Buick GNX) will bolt right in but with that big block Buick I would only use a 8.5" from 1984 and newer Buick Turbo Regal/GN and Olds Hurst/442.

    8.5 change over

Don't bother looking for 10-bolt 8.5" rear axle assemblys in any G Body MonteSS or Pontiac as they were never available with them. Only 1984 and newer Buick Turbo Regals and GNs and Olds Hurst/442s had the 8.5".

    driveshaft question

You evidently have a THM2004R trans and not a THM200C. Any driveshaft from a G-Body (except El Camino) that was originally equipped with a THM350, THM350C, THM200 or THM250 will be the proper lenght driveshaft. Any G Body older than 1984 will have one of those automatic trans and even newer...

    geand prix cowl hood?

Thanks for the compliments but a lot of credit for the scoop has to go to Kevin over at the MonteSS website who did the same mod on his SS and gave me good advice on how to proceed with the modification. Just like many others who like the cowl induction hood but I also thought it was pretty...

    geand prix cowl hood?

Below is a picture of the hood seal. The shaker scoop assembly is from 1974 Trans Am. It had to be modified quite a bit to make it work. The height and angle have to be adjusted and the fact that the engine doesn't fit centered in the engine bay and the engine is not horizontally level from...

Just pointing out that there is practically no limit to modifications when it comes to G Bodys.

new owner of insane 87 grand prix

Gee, I've been on quite a few G Body forums for a while now and nasty's gp is OK it it pretty mild compared to some of the mods that other G Body owners have made. Blowers, big blocks, nitrous, T56s, 9" Fords, back halfs, etc. If you can think it, it has been done.

    driveshaft question

It will swap right in, TH200 and TH350 are the same lenght.

    8.5 change over

Yes, I think it would work.
