I see your point but it's not the engine that dictates what a car is. honestly I would have to put a larger engine it to make it a 442. I'm sorry but to me a 307 hardly makes me think 442. I am leaving towards the 442 because it already has a new engine and trans.

well bottom line is i have a 71 442 and i want to stay with 442s. I like the uniqueness and the somewhat rarity of them.

My dad has a 67 442 convert 4spd. Love that car. He drives that thing everyday in the summer.

So I am looking at 2 cars, 1986 442 pretty loaded, t-tops, crate 307 20k miles, rebuilt trans, some restoring etc. Looks great in and out. The other is an 84 H/O, over 100k mils, nothing done to it except mufflers, t-tops, decent in pretty good out. Which would you guys buy. Price difference...
