If I'm reading this right, 5658 would be 1/4 inch lower than stock and be firmer than stock MCSS? I do believe I have the original springs, so I agree that my ride height would probably go up either way.
But I kept reading and the 5658 doesn't hold the weight. So 5660 would be a better choice...
I'll have to read that in a quiet place and see if I get it! But if anyone else understands it faster, I'm looking for stock ride height with less compression on dips in the road, but not 100% stiff
I have a mostly stock 1986 Grand Prix. I have aftermarket American racing rims and BFG tires. I think the fronts are 235 60 15. Every time I hit a dip my front crashes down on the front passenger tire and makes a horrible scrape sound. I would like new shocks and springs that would ride nice ...
I just put 15x8 inch rims on the front of my car with 235-60-15 tires. They have 3 3/4" back spacing.
Now the tire sits right under the chrome trim on the wheel well and every time I hit a big bump or dip in the road the front slams down on the tires and sounds like hell! I should have went...
I have a 2 tone 86 Grand Prix. It's blue on top and transitions to silver halfway down the body. There is a decal that transitions the 2 colors via gradual stripes. Is it possible to buy these decals anywhere? I did not see them in my Phoenix Graphics catalog. I appreciate the help. Thanks.
I owned one of these in 1996. It was original except for a dual exhaust, and it was in mint shape. Mine did not have that bump in the glass. I believe the glass on that one is not original. JMO.
So I figured I'd share my experience for future googlers. I do not know if the catalytic converter on my car is the original or not, but I believe it is. The back side of it has the ball shaped flange. The walker exhaust I purchased for an Olds 442 bolted right up to the cat. Everything fit...
I bought the y pipe back. My concern is whether or not the y pipe will bolt up to both converters, and whether or not the cat on the olds ends exactly at the same spot as the GP cat.
I have a completely stock 1986 Grand Prix. I just purchased a Walker factory replacement 442 exhaust system. Will this system designed for a 307 bolt up to my stock 305 with little to no issue? I realize I'll need a hangar for the driver side tail pipe, I'm just hoping everything else will fit...
