Great info guys- exactly what I thought- many times when the frames are powdercoated, bad grounds screw it all up- I had it built by a friend and we're both learning on the electrical stuff!!- thanks!!

Guys- after new stereo, windshield antenna, my radio station reception sucks and the rpm "whine" is really bad- What's the cause and what's the fix? I do have a powder coated frame, maybe bad grounding I need to grind and re-screw straps, bolts to?

After driving it daily and coming out to some chilly mornings, sitting on the gas pedal for minutes to warm-up, we've decided to go EFI.. Probably the Holley unit.. I'll keep you guys posted but pumped that this could be a really good thing

Ok- IT WAS the "new" carb!!! My guy threw a new 770 Holley he had on it and it ran great!!- damn, disappointed a bit re- engine builder, but at least we have an answer.. Now, hope this solves what we thought were fuel boil or vapor lock issues, so we'll see after running it hard for some time...

Ok- checked the obvious hoses on carb(Holley 750) for good tightness, single plane intake, not sure of make, will smell oil in the am.. Already had to have the builder replace floats with carb once(can't believe this for a supposedly brand new carb), and now a still leaking carb?? .. Will keep...

Although why would they work when engine isn't running, ran fine, but then when engine was on, failed?

guys- working out problems on new restoration.. 78 Monte, replaced wiper motor, new electrical system, new switch, wipers worked fine when car was off, but key was on for accessories. Start car this am for a second, run wipers for the dew, wipers go up 1/2 way, stop!!!.... Blew fuse (15 amp)...

We are putting a different/known to be good carb on it tomorrow... Then we'll pull some plugs- know the firing order is fine as car ran well and then started running rough, then had to gas it hard w 4 speed to not stall it... Thought there might've been fuel boil or vapor lock as this has...

i check for a vacuum leak- car was running better, there's only 700 miles in it since completion, now it idles like crap, hard starting, etc.... I'll see this first... Thx guys
