I was able to track down a stock stereo and install it. Now the hunt for some cassettes begins!!
Next up is to paint and install a new license plate pocket that was cracked from some of my crappy teenage driving back in '96!
I have used them in the past and have not had any issues with delivery or returns. As for your situation, the next day delivery means next "business day". If order is placed after Friday at 7pm or on Sat/Sun, it will be processed on the next business day, which is Monday. You will likely see...
That was my biggest fear. I was able to keep most of the feel by spraying a very light coat followed immediately with a nylon brush to keep from fibers sticking together. I probably made 5-6 cycles using that method to achieve the result.
Seems like interior was a popular thing to tackle this weekend. I fixed a drivers seat belt that was annoying the crap out of me; finally got it to retract. Also took the plunge on freshening up the sun damaged seat. Sprayed some SEM interior paint and was surprised by the results.
Also I...
Finally got around to this. The SEM Burgandy paint blended well. I was cautious about it becoming stiff, so after each light coat I brushed with a nylon brush. This seemed to really help. Here is a pic of the first test section and then the entire back panel of the rear seat. Very happy thus far...
I can only speak to the quality of the SEM. I painted a horn button that was bright red to the maroon/burgandy. After about 4 coats I was happy. It came pretty close to matching the original color.
I like it. I am running same 307 in the 85. Little louder than mine. Similar set up with duals out the rear and glass packs. What mufflers do you have?
Current carb number is 17083204.
I have the original that will be on the list for a rebuild, but not sure when I can dedicate time to that. I prefer this to replacing and taking in back to original since very little has been touched on this car. Just rebuilt power steering pump when I could...
I am moving onto the next item on my winter list for the 85 Cutlass. I want to address the QJet that is current on the car. I don't believe that it is the original (I may have it in a draw in Dad's garage). It starts and runs fine, but when I plug the red wire to the carb (see pic) it wants to...
Good points. I am actually running 2.14 right now, so the jump to 3.08 should make a world of difference. Wheels have been changed to 15s with 235/60 tires. Not to mention the money I will save! Thanks for the info.
If I want to get both wheels spinning, I will have to change carrier anyway. Might as well shoot for 3.23s while I have it in pieces.
Does anyone have these gears with a 3 speed auto?
I am gonna ask the question that has been asked a million times but it still pertains to the thread, please humor me.
What would breath some much needed life into a bone stock 307? Gear suggestions and I would like to get rid of the peg leg to leave some marks on the county roads.
I have finally started to address the power steering pump leak that has been a pain in the $?&. I have removed everything and am to the point for removing pump from resivior. Before I tear this thing apart, I want to ensure I don't harm anything as I wait for my rebuild kit to arrive. Do I...
Finally made it through all the holiday commitments and got some time in the garage. I have to thank Santa for new toolbox and bench that were setup today too!
The wheels are 15x7 with 4in backspace. I have 235/60 R15 Dunlop G/T Qualifers mounted with white lettering on the inside. Here are a...
