I guess i can enter. 1978 malibu wagon, original 305, has hauled an LS in the back. Has air bags in the back, and is a very reliable daily driver car. Check out my album for some pictures

I did a pole (keep 305, do 350, or LS) and most said 350 with some good information. Its called "Need some help/imput"

It has Hotchkis suspension and BFG performance tires (245-45/17). Still drum brakes in the back. I may want to put disks in the back before anything. It has a Monte SS steering box and 200r4 4 speed auto.

Im thinking about putting either a 350 or a small LS in the wagon. Since it is my first car, my dad says not too much power. I think a mild 4.8 would be nice. I was thinking LS because it is a good starter engine and it is easy to make power with (Boost, pistons, heads, ect). A 350 is limited...

I run premium. If i don't, it valve knocks bad. Tried medium because it was cheaper. Not worth it

I would have to talk to my dad. The only things salvageable are the body panels. We are pulling the dash for my 78. What parts does he need?

Sweet! I have an 83 in the driveway but its a junk car. No tailgate, no engine/trans, and unfortunately we used it as a painting booth. Interior is wrecked also.
