CS130 Alternator and 2 wire Idiot Light wiring help

I recently had an issue when I put my new wiring harness in the car (1986 Buick Regal T-Type). No stock wiring in place (Holley Dash) so no idiot light. Close to new AC Delco Gold alternator. It is exactly like what 79 USA 1 said. It should have worked with keyed voltage to the F terminal but...

Should I add bling to my engine to increase value or keep stock

Couple thoughts here: 1. Low mile stock is going to probably bring the most resale value. 2. Mods don't really add value. I would say do what you like but keep the stock parts if you are worried about resale. The previous poster is right about making it 100% before doing anything. #1 thing...

Intercooled GN's or EFI 5L 5 spd Notchback Mustang's, which were faster bone stock?

When everything is working, they are great. Once you start chasing issues it's a huge pain in the *ss. Parts store parts don't work, even if you can find them. Luckily we have people like Bob Bailey and other mad scientists who have come up with fixes for some of the problems. With tools like...

Intercooled GN's or EFI 5L 5 spd Notchback Mustang's, which were faster bone stock?

As long as the tune is on point the 109 motor can take a lot. Usually when you see a windowed block or the car joined the driven over the crank club something bad tune wise happened.

Intercooled GN's or EFI 5L 5 spd Notchback Mustang's, which were faster bone stock?

Those were the good times. I pulled multiple 109's out of junk yard NA regals for cheap. The problem now is we are running out of those blocks. Good 109's are fetching $600+ for a bare block. You are easily over $10k for a built forged 109 long block using Chinese cranks and rods. I am...

Intercooled GN's or EFI 5L 5 spd Notchback Mustang's, which were faster bone stock?

Had a 85 LX 5.0 that I swapped a 89 EFI motor/ 5spd trans in along with multiple turbo regals. My 85 Mustang was slightly faster on the street than my 85 T-Type (non-intercooled turbo) but any of my 86's (intercooled turbo) cars were slightly faster/quicker than the Mustang when stock. The big...

cpp spindle and C5 brake upgrade

This 100%. My first go at this I had 2019 Camaro SS Brembo setup with C7 Z51 rotors on Blazer spindles and it would have taken a 16mm spacer to give the needed 3mm for caliper to wheel face clearance with the 8" wide wheel I have. I was not comfortable with pushing the track width that much...

cpp spindle and C5 brake upgrade

I am running the CPP spindles but upgraded to the J55 (Z51) 13.4" rotors. They fit perfectly with the Gbodyparts 18" GNX replicas no spacers. The 18x8 has a 4" backspace and clears the caliper fine. I am running a full ridetech coil-over suspension up front with a 255-35 tire and it does not...

    8.5 rear bent axle

I have Mosers 28 spline in mine. They have held up well. I also just had the housing straightened because there was a slight bend to it. I had to use a rubber mallet to get the pass side axle in to take the c-clips off and pry it out. I also had them weld the axle tubes since it was out and apart.

    Brembo/Blazer Spindle Conversion

Looks good! 3/16 is fine. 3mm is the minimum Brembo says and you are close to 5mm.

    Brembo/Blazer Spindle Conversion

I did this a few months ago but ended up selling them and going with the C6 J55 (Z51) setup because I didn't like needing such a large spacer and how far the tire was out with the wheels I have (gbodyparts GNX style 18x8 on the front). Was an easy process to modify the spindles and the guy at...

    Mutts

My JRT/Chi mix is that way with her ball. I can line up multiple identical balls and she will get "the one" EVERY time. It sucks when she finally destroys one, it takes a week or so for her to attach to another ball.

    Mutts

Not a Dachshund but my youngest dog was very head strong. It was great for us having a doggy door for potty training this guy but now he does this... He pulled his mat out of his crate and made himself comfortable while he spied on the next door neighbors.

I love the cream beige TR's you don't see many of them. The gold is light chestnut brown metallic which is also pretty rare to see. The tan interiors on these cars are odd that one has the lower kick panels in light saddle mine were a darker brown but not dark saddle like the dash. It's like the...

I suck at remembering to take pictures of the car. I will have to find a recent engine pic. After I got it running after it sat for nearly 8 years. Here is one from one of the biggest so-cal Turbo Buick events. One of my pup's looking to 'help' me as I started tearing out the interior a...

Just wanted to say hi from a new member. I have owned Turbo Buicks since the mid 90's and been a fan of G-Body cars since I was a kid in the 80's. My current toy is a 1986 Buick Regal T-Type. It is no where near stock but is very stock looking. I have a bunch of projects for this car and this...

    1 Owner, 2 Owner, 3 Owner More!

I am technically the 3rd and 5th owner of my Buick. My friend purchased the car from our boss in the mid 90's. He fell in to financial trouble so I bought it from him, when he got in better shape he bought it back. He passed away in 2008 and the car sat till 2013 when I purchased it from his...
