New motor in a 78 monte

Hey Mike. I dont think you will have an issue with moving the 20s with any 350 choice. I'm sure your overall wheel/tire diameter will be close to stock size. Maybe a little bigger, but they will definitely weigh more. I have a 406 with AFR aluminum heads, t5, and 3:73s in my 3rg gen 20" wheel...

    78-80 Monte Picture Thread

I posted the 1st time in 2014, damn. I finished a good majority of the car now, in 2018, so I figure I might as well add a new pic of my '80.

    Buckets and console options.

Yeah there are dozens of them at every yard I go to. It was the 1st console I picked out and really didn't think it was go in to fit that good. But to my surprise, it fit with little modifications. I had to weld a bracket to the floor and fabricate a bracket to mount under the dash. Then I...

    Glow Shift Gauges

I had them in my cutlass. Speedo, tach, oil, temp, volt, fuel press, vac/boost. The only one that was not reliable was fuel press. I liked the speedo cause it had a correction dial on the back. Beautiful gauges tho.

    Electric fan question..

I use a temp switch in the driver side head to ground out my 2 relays to energize the fans to hi speed on my 80 Monte. I always have bad luck with fan controllers. They usually last a year or so for me. My relay setup has lasted a few years now. I now use the relay setup on my 67 Lemans too.
