wow I had no idea the N/A 3.8 in G-bodies was that horrible. I was going to come in here and say my 3.8(3800 wrong wheel drive) is pretty respectable for being in such a heavy car, my 2000 Grand Prix....but that's not what this thread's about :lol:

With every GM warranty my family has had, there has never been a discrepancy whether the dealer would do the work or not. Im sure it depends on the specific warranty, but GM warranties should not have to be fought with the dealer as to where the work will be covered or not. I've had my 2000...

True that. Luckily the places I've taken my car to have mechanics we know, so they don't bullshit around with warranty work on my GP.

Unfortunately the ticking is common on 3800 Series II motors. The original motor in my GP had done it every so often, however the Series III that I have in my car now(long story) does not do it. GM won't cover anything like that, it's just something to live with, good ol' GM...
