And a lot of us have 78-80 Grand Prix, which probably have some of the simplest possible panel lines of all of the G's, which would make them super easy to reproduce. Just sayin'.
1/4 patch panels would be great.
Keep in mind that there is a big difference in the onset of torque between a 3.8 turbo and a 455. One produces a gradual buildup, the other a sudden shockwave. Personally I think the 4L80E (with an adapter plate) with its higher torque rating is a much better choice for a Pontiac engine.
Re: Grand Prix headlight modification - opions wanted
I have a few extras I can experiment with if I decided to do this. I wouldn't cut up my original set. I might also look around to see if anything like this was ever offered on another car.
I've been a Grand Prix owner for a long time, and something about the headlight configuration has never looked quite right to me. I had some fun with photoshop today and this is what I came up with. The modified lights look a bit cleaner to me but I'm not 100% sure. Which do you guys like...
I saw some 4 door Malibus in there. This one sold for $700.

I installed my 400 in place of the factory 301 many years ago. The swap is well worth the time and effort, and the aftermarket support for Pontiac engines is huge despite their age.
Keep us updated on your progress
The T5 will not live long behind a healthy small block unless you drive like a little old lady. It was only offered behind 305 V8's because it would not stand up to the torque of a stock 235-245 horsepower F-body 350.
The T56 is a much better transmission with two overdrive speeds and excellent...
Re: Anybody using elctric water pump and fuel pump on their
You need to look at the pump flow rates. What does the stock pump flow increase to at faster engine speeds? When I was researching it, the high flow belt driven pumps could only match the flow of the electric pumps at high rpm. The...
