    Identifying control arms

I need help identifying these control arms. I picked them up from a guy parting out a wrecked Malibu, he claimed they were old Hotchkis lowers. They don't really look like anything that's currently on the market. They look well made with nice welds, they do weigh a ton though. Who made them...

    Pontiac (Grand) LeMans

Terrible picture but you get the idea. 265 Pontiac, rebuilt 2BBL, MSD ignition and wires. Rebuilt 2.41 rear end, reinforced cover, Bilstein shocks, Summit cargo coils, 1" UMI swaybar. Slowly getting to the front end. 15" Camaro rims with 225's all 4 corners, got a set of 16" Ronal R9's that...

Clutch_Grabwell, your image helped a lot. This is where I've gotten, does this look like it's supposed to?

    Rear drum help

I disassembled my rear drums about 6 months ago to refresh the rear end, since then I've forgotten how they're supposed to go back together. I have the factory manual but it's of little use. Would someone be able to take pictures of what it all looks like assembled? This is on a 1980 Lemans Safari.

    383 Pistons suggestions

My main goals are torque, good idle and being able to run 87 octane. Those Speed Pro H859CP30 seem right up my alley.

    383 Pistons suggestions

I've been racking my brain trying to find pistons for my 383 stroker build. Motor so far is a 4.030" 350 block, 3.750" cast crank and 5.7" rods. I'm looking for 9.0 to 1 compression, give or take. My power goals are quite low, around 250hp and 350 lb ft, so I don't really need heavy duty...

    Rear spring suggestions

I'm looking to return LeMans Safari to near stock height (+/- 1/2") and I'd like some spring suggestions. I'd like a stiffer spring, I've been looking at the Global West Suspension S-71 springs http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GLS-S-71/; anyone have any thoughts on them?

    383 Piston Help

I'm building a 383, 4.030" by 3.750"; pretty standard stuff. Heads are ported 333882 with a 76cc cylinder volume. I'm looking to get about 8.5-9.0 to 1 compression, I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what piston volume I need. I'd like some piston suggestions, I'm looking to spend under $300.

Unplugged engine wire shocked me! What is it?

Sounds like it plugs into the bottom of the distributor to the HEI control module. I believe it's the ground wire for it.

    1980 Lemans Safari headers?

I'm mostly thinking about my budget when I was looking at those mufflers. I'd like the exhaust to have character and not just a monotone drone, if I have to spend a little more on so be it. Any suggestions are happily welcomed.

    1980 Lemans Safari headers?

I'm in the middle of building a 350 Chevrolet to replace my reliable but lack luster 265 Pontiac, I've been looking at making a dual exhaust for it. I've got everything pretty much figured out, cheap magnaflow cats, Summit turbo mufflers, all 2.5" from the headers back to the tips. The one issue...

    Lemans pics?

The original owner is a neighbor of one of my instructors, he bought the car when he retired from being a bus driver. He attempted to give it to his local high school but they refused it on the grounds it was too old. It was up on craiglist for a while for $1200 but he had no takers. He...
