I have 2 quick questions for Happy Camper. Did you replace the back seat too or is it still stock? Do PT Cruiser seats mount to g-body seat tracks or can their tracks be used?

Both would be helpful. Whoever worked on the car before I got it did a hack job on the wiring. Plus I got disconnected wires /plugs & plugged vacuum hoses. Only positives that I can tell are that he left the original engine in the car & upgraded the carb.

I have an 80 turbo MC with carbureted Buick 231 & its missing the turbo control module that mounts to the fan shroud. Does anyone have 1 for sale or is there an up-to-date replacement for it?

Went to the junkyard today & pulled parts for the Blazer brake upgrade. Brought spindle, caliper & hubs off a 00 Blazer and just ordered new pads, rotors & hubs. Should be here by Wed/Thurs. Going back the wkend after next to pull the rear brakes & hopefully locate a steering column and Jeep...

Got it started today. Have a leak at the thermostat housing & it needs new plugs. Whoever worked on it in the past did a hack job on the wiring but we got it fixed. I'll be sure to ask for your input on things since you have 1st hand knowledge of the car.

Since you're so set on restoring it & making it a turbo, I suggest you check www.turbobuick.com & www.turbobuicks.com. The ppl there tend to be a**holes at times but very knowledgeable. (Hope I spelled that right) They often have stock parts for sell & maybe even a few upgrades as well..

Q-Logic sells kick panels for g-bodies.. Comes in 3 different colors IIRC.. Had a set in an 85 MC I owned.. Nice addition to the front stage.. Just make sure hyperactive ppl or ppl with size 12s ride in the back..

You have a few options.. 1.) You can get your alternator respun to match the current draw.. 2.) Buy a bigger alternator.. 3.) Get a 2nd battery for the trunk & run a battery isolater btwn the 2.. That way the system runs off 1 battery & the car uses the other.. I also suggest doing a "Big 3"...

Gonna be a kickass system when you're done.. It almost reminds me of an IB with lights.. Have you tested/tuned it yet?
