Im trying to figure out why my uncles fuel pump wont come on. I replaced the pump after checking fuses/relays/grounds. I shoulda checked for power at the pump first but I didnt. Now it still wont prime or start. I checked the fuse box for power. I have power at the relay but not at the 20a fuse in the underhood fusebox. So im thinking its between the fuse and the pump. I wont lie im lost but he dont have the money to take it to a shop. Any suggestions would be helpful. Pic so youll believe me 😁

There is a fuel pump driver module that bolts to the frame kind of above the spare tire. I would bet that has failed. But.... You can bolt a new one in but it still won't work. They have to be programmed by a dealer.

Thanks for the suggestion. I see the box your talking about. That sucks about the reprogramming. Its starting to feel like a real mechanic is needed.

Pull the box down, the case is aluminum. You'll probably be able to see where it's corroded at the seam and water has gotten inside. If so, gotta be towed to a dealer or a higher end shop that can program GM modules

Also, you need to make sure you have the right one. See if there's a part number on the one that's in there. You didn't say which engine...assuming V8, because a V6 in a Silverado is an idiotic idea.

Anyway, 2007 lists a 4.8 or 5.3 V8 with GM/ACDelco 20759945. $177 list price. It replaced the old number 25967325. Which replaced the original 25866052. I didn't check for the 6.0L. Probably the same. I'd get the latest number because there may be a reason they had to change to the new numbers/design.

$81.19 plus tax at Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003YO9OF6/?tag=gbody-20

Rockauto.com is 77 bucks plus tax/shipping. But it's an option. Big box stores sell them too, such as summit, but they're a bit pricier yet.

Again, it will need to be programmed. Read somewhere it was around $75 to reprogrammed at the dealer give or take.

Thanks for that bit of info. Its an 07 with 4.8. It was quite corroded around the edges. Im gonna order that part off amazon after I verify the part number. I figured id install the module then tow it to a dealer a couple miles away. My uncles a vet on a fixed income and he's fighting the city of Indianapolis over property rights. Hes in a bad enough spot without this happening. Im just trying to get him fixed up(as cheap as I reliably can)

Let us know what number you find on the box. It's likely original, and if it's not one of the ones I posted earlier, I can help find the right replacement number.

Thanks I just got back to look at the truck. I got off early because of wind. This is what I found

I havent looked up the part online but I looked through picapart inventory and didnt find any 07 silverado. I wanted to get it local so I can get him fixed up but im not willing to pay double. I forgot to mention when it failed he was driving 50 mph and it just died and never started since. I appreciate the help.

I took the module out. The harness had a bit of corrosion and the seams at the corners are deeper then in the middle.

I dont think i mentioned its a 4.8.

15213110's latest supersession number is 20759945, which is the suggested part number from earlier. Apparently they dropped the 15213110 in October of 2007 and replaced it with 25854536, which got replaced to 20759945 in November 2009.

If your junkyard has any of the above mentioned numbers, you're good to go. At least for a while. Can't tell just by looking at them if they'll work or not.

Either way, you're going to have to get it reprogrammed to your vehicle. It sucks, but it is what it is.
