noooooooooooooooooo

301 B-Bodys had the 4 3/4 bolt patten while 350's and up had the 5x5
Wow, I never knew that. I don't remember there being a rotor difference from my auto parts days. Another reason to go Pontiac and go often I guess

I just did a quick check on RockAuto. On a 1980 Catalina you could have gotten either bolt circle. The 5 x 4.75" one is with the 11- 1/64th front rotor with 9.5" rear drums and the other is the 5 x 5" with 12" front rotor with 11" rear drum. Engine has nothing to do with it. So the snowflakes could be either pattern.

in 1978 the option was because of the engine

"big" engine got big brakes larger bolt pattern

I know alot of people dont believe in the small block big block Pontiac

but there is a difference in the deck height between the 301/366 which is 9.137

When the common 350/400/455 have 10.24

When people talk small block/big block Pontiac the 265/301 are never part of that conversation. Of course the RA5 (303/366 etc) is also excluded. So I back righteous indignation when people refer to any Pontiac as a big block. Plus, if the same people are talking about a 326, 350 or 389 the call it a small block.

Well when i talk about Pontiac they are!

Simply because they are
