As promised to patmckinneyracing on here, here is my neighbors car that we have been working on for a long time, almost 5 years on and off. After last year when I was diagnosed with cancer we didn't do much but have been full swing into it and it's almost ready to start up, just some minor issues to work out. 440 six pack setup with a mild cam. Almost everything on this car is brand new. I built the rear deck for the speakers from scratch and it looks perfect like it came from the factory, I am proud of myself, lol....Enjoy.

Thats a clean lookin challenger right there. Dad was laughing cause he hasn't seen those traction bars on the leaf springs in forever lol. The motor looks clean as a whistle too. Even if this is a g body site, its always nice to see a variety and everyone knows mopars did make some of the best lookin cars. The six pack set up is definately a good touch to that 440. I was thinking about building a wild motor for my roadrunner, but thought that with the options and parts it has, it's a pedigree car and shouldn't be hot rodded. So I'm gonna stick to a factory restoration cause it'll look better and be worth a lot more money even though I'm not selling it.

Definitely, your car is all original so like you said, stick to what it has. That will be worth big bucks when you are done. Nothing wrong with hopping up that engine though  .. Keep the outside stock and throw a cam in it might help a little bit.

We where going to start it yesterday on my birthday but that didn't happen. So now he has to find the new coil or order it before we can start it, I can't wait to hear it run.

Sweet looking Challenger, and happy belated b-day!
A good friend of mine that I used to work with has a 1970 Challenger R/T, with a 440 that put out 454 hp and 518 lbs on the dyno. It's Go Mango with black bumble bee stripe and hood treatment, with a black interior. I think I've got some pics of it around, I should put them up. That car was a huge part of what got me into the hobby.
Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Thanks!! I am getting old 32,lol I am losing my hair and had cancer in 2 different spots already but I am still alive.

I got sick of cars when I was sick but after working on them and getting my Regal with a 350 I am now addicted to them. That would be cool if you had some pics of that car. My neighbor is guessing his has around 430HP but only time will tell.

Turns out I've got some pics of the car from the '07 Muscle Car Shootout that's held each Labor Day weekend at Brainerd Intl. Raceway (about 130 miles north of the Twin Cities). Hopefully I'll finally get my Olds up there this year too.
