Howdy all . joined for future help. Im about 1/4 way through a frame off on a 1978 olds cutlass. Im building for me so it will not be 100% restoration. Got the engine out of a 1979 hurst olds. It very close to done. Th350 trans with a nice shift kit. Its done. Frame is sitting in front of the garage and blasted and primed. That's it fo now.
Looks great, love the Olds350. I love the Metallic Blue on it, factory 455 colour correct? Something I did when putting 10 bolt valve covers on 5 bolt head Olds motors is put a dab of RTV or you get weepage through the open holes in the gasket. Hopefully those covers seal, some need either straight RTV to seal. Should be an awesome ride.

Its a 350 out of a 1979 hurst olds. The paint on the engine is 455 until the 1979 hurst olds then oldsmobile introduced it again. The guy I get it from pulled it out of the 79 hurst Olds the owner wanted it changed. He had since pulled that motor out and put a big block chevy in it. I have no idea why.
