I have a 1979 el camino that I use for parts and im debating on wether or not to put the elky nose on this? If I keep this nose I need a hood and a passenger side fender but there are no parts or pontiac parts cars around me :/

To be honest with you, I'd keep it all Pontiac. That's what makes these cars more unique. I agree that Pontiac sheetmetal is harder to acquire. It might take a little patience to find the parts that you need. And again, that's just my opinion. It is your car, so it's up to you what you ultimately want to do with it. I'd also keep the faux wood look.

I definatly agree with you that the PONTIAC name is what makes it unique and that one reason why I got the car... but I cant keep the car inside and as of now there is no hood on it soo if anyone know of a hood or a parts car in a junk yard around CT let me kno im in desperate need!!

It probably couldn't hurt to put a want ad out there...even on Craigslist. You might have to travel within the metropolitan tri-state area for it...shipping it would definitely be a killer.

I went through 3 hoods and they are all wavy as hell. Best bet is a VFN fiberglass hood. Eventually I need to go that route myself. Remember Bonneville fenders are the same. I have one, but shipping to the east coast without damage would be tough.

I didnt know they made a fiberglass hood for a lemans / grand am.
I wouldnt mind doing some body work to it but it got in a fight with the fork lift and lost so theres no saving it

Been a while since I posted an update
