Rebuilding an 80 malibu and need some advice about motor mounts.I know some of these cars had v8's from the factory so it shouldnt be complicated.I just cant seem to find the mount that installs on the car

Welcome aboard!

At least one of the sponsors of this forum offers several motor mount options.
Here's a link to the list of new motor mounts available from from GBody Parts:

Happy hunting!

We're also kind of assuming that you're trying to install a Chevrolet V8 in your Malibu. Other divisions engines can be installed though. It would be helpful if you could specify which engine you'd like to install, and mentioning which transmission you're going to use might be helpful as well. Good luck.

Correct; the GBodyParts link was for Chevy small block mounts.
Thanks, clean8485

where exactly are u looking for these mount. you say the ones that mount dirctly to th car, i.e the frame im guessing. these can be purchased at any autoparts store for under $20 for a pair of the stock style mounts. BUT again this is assuming you're going witha smallblock chevy

I installed a 350 sbc /350 turbo transmission and everything looks good so far..looks like I'm going to have to change my crossmember to run dual exhaust.

Thanks for the info,,,I got the motor and transmission in the car now
350sbc/350 turbo
.030 over/thumper cam/edelbrock intake/long tube headers

If your good with metal you can modify your current cross member to accommodate dual exhaust I can post pics if you need it. Hey and welcome aboard, you gonna post some pics for progress, I like seeing another eighty Malibu out there.
