Yeah it’s a 305, not any Y in the vinAre you sure that your original engine wasn't an Olds 307? The eighth digit of the VIN is a Y for the 307 Olds.
I'm rather certain your 1980 Cutlass was a 260 engine..... which makes sense that the Chevrolet stuff doesn't line up.
Also, Olds never had a 305 engine... as you claim.

If you can post a picture of your AC bracket and where it is supposed to mount, you might be able to use an aftermarket SBC AC bracket designed for headers to give you the clearance you need.I have swapped my Oldsmobile 305 with a 350 sbc with the 8525hkr exhaust and now the AC bracket does not fit and the exhaust it larger than the stock exhaust manifold., has anyone seen this and have a solution?
