so i bought my car 3 years ago for 800 bux off an old man. its taking me awhile because im only a kid and cash is tight.it had 152k on the original 301. i ripped it out and ripped the interior out. i started out by putting a cage in. 8 point monte carlo cage. i then moved onto the rear end.. finding a 8.5 around here was nearly impossible and i could never win one on ebay. so i was putting around the shop and bumped into a 8 3/4 posi with 456's out a a 1969 charger. it had art Morrison ladder bars and coil overs. it was perfect fit... i welded that in the back in a weekend.. i then started to build a engine.. i got a circle track Chevy 350. .40 over JE forged pistons, gm performance crank, scat connecting rods and a decked block. i got a set of air flow research heads and had them worked and port matched to a victor intake. put a comp cam mechanical cam with solid lifters and comp cam roller rockers and push rods. assembled that and had a turbo 350 built with a 3700 stall converter and a manual valve body. converted it to manual steering witha s10 steering box and put in s10 manual brakes as well. interior was inposible to find, lemans arnt verry common. so i painted all my interior and reupholstered my dash and other parts. my drive shafts getting made as i type this and im waiting for my seats and fuel lines to come in.. i plan on painting it flat black. for some reason i just love flat black cars.. ill keep everyone updated with how it comes out.
