1981 CUTLASS 9 INCH REAR

Hey guys i'm new to this forum thing. I was wondering if anyone had any info on swapping a 9 inch into a Cutlass? I bought the 9 inch housing with all the brackets installed and after measuring it, it measures 55" from housing end to housing end. Will this width work? Maybe with a different offset wheel?

Where did you get that rear end? Out of what car? The G body should measure 52 1/8.

That's what i thought. I bought the housing from a friend. All the brackets are definitely for a G body. I was just wondering if it would work if i had a different offset wheel?

I'm going to say it is for an "A" body which is 55 1/4. It will work - South Side Machine offers a kit to use it, then you will need to determine what offset works th best.
