Anyone know if a rearend from a 81 malibu (7.5") will fit under an 85 Buick Regal? I might be able to get one cheap that has posi and would rather switch the whole rear instead of the carrier.

It's a direct bolt in, you might want to find out what gears the 'Bu rear has in it.

anyone know what options there were for the Malibu? As far as I know it came from Western Canada and it has a V-6. I think he said it was the 'Classic'. The regal I have now has 2.73's, so it can't get much worse lol

Thing about rear ends is that everyone has a different set up that requires a different set of gears so it's somewhat difficult to list multiple solutions to everyone's rearend questions or problems.
