I got a 1982 Oldsmobile factory service manual and boy, oh boy, it is loaded with so much info I have been wanting and needing. I also got the electrical book as well. If anyone needs anything, let me know. I would be more than happy to scan pages for you guys out there!!
FYI, these books cover the Cutlass Copue, Sedan, and wagon, the 88, and Toronado as well.

I tell people here all the time to invest in those books, but I think it falls on deaf ears. I guess it's just easier for some to make assumptions, believe what they read on the internet, or believe what their best friends father's uncle's cousin's brother told them instead of having all the facts and details at your fingertips.

The original GM books are reproduced, i got the electrical for my 85 and it is the best $25 i spent in a long time.

Coming from a guy that has someone else build his motor?

ouch!! ..... i have rebuilt engines without knowing what the hell i'm doing other then a service manual to refer to... I figure if someone put it together then why can't i? Both the 5.4 i rebuilt on my buddies Expy and the 4.7 on my WJ are still running.. :friday:

Ladies, ladies, you both have nice dresses on. Jk jk. Lol I have the Haynes book and still bought these. The issue with Haynes is that it is too generic and I cannot emphasise on the generic. There are things I look for that I couldn't find any info that I can only find in the manual. After acquiring these books, I have learned so much details about my vehicle and how to successfully diagnose any future issues.
Fyi, the electrical diagrams are in color.
I totally recommend these. I got them both for 55 bucks.

So the hell what? That has nothing to do with anything and you know it.

What's with all the hate around here? DoubleV isn't telling any lies. I see a lot of questions asked around here over and over again, that could be answered with these books. Remember these books contain procedures and specs specified by GM. Don't know how it could get much better. Its my bible for my 442 and has saved me over and over.
