Hello,
I have been in the market for a g-body car for a few months now.
I have found a 1982 regal with 166k miles, 66k on the 350 crate motor put in 10 years ago. Has a 350 trans, no posi rear.
Body is in good shape, small rust spot in truck, paint is about a 7 out of 10 condition.
Interior needs some work, door panels, headliner, and seat covers.
Frame is solid.
Car runs and drives fine.
Car needs some TLC overall, but nothing major.
How much should I pay for it and what should I watch out for?
I can do my own work to the car, but just want to make sure I do not overpay for the car the way it sits.
My plans for the car would to put a posi rear in, clean it up and fix the small things, and make it a street car for this year and track car for next year.

Looks like it could be an old Grand National ... they made them two-tone black/gray back then. I'd check the VIN

If it is mostly solid and runs and drives good, I would say anywhere from $2-3,000 would be fair. If it was originally a Grand National, then probably more.

Car was originally all silver, painted about 8 years ago to the colors you see now.
