Do I really need the quick ratio box?
Should I do the jeep steering upgrade? Is it worth it or can I just replace the ripped boot and be done with it?...any suggestions on exhaust are very welcome guys.
you dont NEED a quick ratio box, but it helps in 'emergence situations', ant the jeep steering shaft is a wonderful upgrade because it gets rid of the rag joint and the slop that comes with it, AND it also gets rid of the leaky rubber boot thingy. and i almost forgot, it helps with header clearence. get some headers that fit (i got hedman shorties for a monte carlo) and then i recommend an x pype setup. any will do as long as you have a double hump trans x-member. i got the tubular one from gbodyparts.com and is light weight and has plenty of room for my exhaust.

Thanks man, I'm gonna get a jeep shaft soon, I'm thinking about the jegs 1 5/8" long tubes or headman long tubes and notching my factory x-memeber. I will either do an x or h pipe setup not really sure yet. And the quick ratio box is readily available from my camaro so who knows dude.

X-pipe > H-pipe

Maybe I missed it, what's up on the fuel line? Why not run some 1/2" aluminum fuel line like 90% of all the drag cars out there? You could by 25 feet for it for like $30...?

Take a good look at an aftermarket cross member, it makes life soooooo much easier.

I would like the aftermarket cross member but it's not in the budget right now maybe never for this car. The really nice thing will go on my Hurst. I already ordered a stock replacement 3/8" line, I removed the electric fuel pump and braided lines when I got the car home. I'd rather have the mech pump and factory style lines. I'm all for the clean factory ish not too visibly modded but clean look.

I think I. Like the h because of the ease of possibly working on a u joint, rear or driveshaft issue. Ya kno

I think the steering box on the car is a quick ratio .. am pretty positive it is .. ..
